Appeals process
A person who has been banned from entering licensed premises in Sheffield may lodge an appeal against the prohibition.
- Appeals should be made in writing to the Sheffield Licence Watch co-ordinator.
- Appeals letters will be acknowledged in writing.
When an appeal is made against a banning order, Sheffield Licence Watch members will take into account the following:
- The seriousness of the incident for which the ban / exclusion order was imposed
- The feelings of all persons involved
- The acceptance (or not) of wrong doing by the person or persons that have been banned / excluded
- Any restitution already taken
- Any other relevant details
The person or persons lodging the appeal will be informed in writing of the Sheffield Licence Watch member's decision regarding the banning order.
The contact appeal address for individual Sheffield Licence Watch Schemes can be found on the area home pages that are accessible from the main home page.
