About Us

Sheffield Licence Watch is a crime prevention scheme run by local licensees, establsihed in 2002 by People United Against Crime (PUAC)

PUAC is a registered charity established by South Yorkshire Police in 1996.

Supported by South Yorkshire Police, Sheffield City Council and Crimestoppers, it is city wide initiative with over 800 members.

The rapid growth of Sheffield Licence Watch over previous years shows the scheme is valued by both the licensed trade and the police.

The committee management comprised of representatives from:

  • The licensing trade
  • South Yorkshire Police
  • Sheffield City Council
  • Sheffield Trading Standards
  • Sheffield Safeguarding Children's Board
  • Sheffield Primary Care Trust
